As a business and blogging mom there are a few tools I use to save time.
One of my favourite tools for social media is Hootsuite. I had the opportunity to visit the Hootsuite ‘nest’ a few months ago and I have been working my way through Hootsuite University since then.
This post is going to be on the basics of Hootsuite. If you know nothing about Hootsuite or have never heard of it, you are in the right place.
Definition, what is Hootsuite?
Hootsuite is an online tool used by small businesses, large businesses and bloggers to centralize social media sharing and posts.
Which social media accounts can I link?
Hootsuite links Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, WordPress, Mixi and Google+. We typically use it to schedule posts for two different Facebook and Twitter accounts: Thinking Outside The Sandbox and Thinking Outside The Sandbox:Family.
What is the cost of Hootsuite?
Here’s the best part. It’s FREE! Many bloggers and small business owners use this service for free. There is a Pro version that Hootsuite offers a free trial on for 30 days.
How can you sign up for Hootsuite?
Signing up is easy. Start here.
We will walk you through the dashboard and features in future posts!
Once you’ve signed up, come back and tell us what you think!
