In just a couple of minutes you can learn How To Make a Quick and Easy Vlog Intro Video – ‘fancy’ vloggers all have a short, but professional intro.
I have been wanting to get into vlogging and through watching bloggers like Jody Jelas, I noticed the ‘fancy’ vloggers all have a short, but professional intro.
Setting out to find an easy to use and cheap program which makes great videos was proving hard to find.
Well, until Zippy from Champagne Living.net told me about Animoto. You do need to upgrade to a $13.00 a month program to download and if you want to make your intro in HD it will be an additional small cost.
In just a couple of minutes you can learn How To Make a Quick and Easy Vlog Intro Video.
In a sea of content creators, harness the power of a skilled video editor to stand out from the crowd and captivate your audience with compelling visuals and seamless storytelling.
Creating a quick and easy vlog intro video can be a fun and engaging way to introduce your content to viewers. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you make an effective vlog intro:
Table of Contents
Define Your Style and Theme
- Identify Your Brand: Think about your vlog’s theme, tone, and target audience. Your intro should reflect these elements.
- Choose a Style: Decide whether you want a modern, minimalist, animated, or energetic intro.
Write a Script
- Keep it Short: Aim for 5-10 seconds. Your intro should be quick and to the point.
- Include Key Elements: Your name or channel name, a tagline (if you have one), and what your vlog is about.
Select Music and Sound Effects
- Choose Music: Pick a track that matches the energy and tone of your vlog. There are many royalty-free music sites online.
- Sound Effects: Consider adding subtle sound effects for a professional touch.
Gather Visual Elements
- Images and Videos: Use relevant images or short clips. These could be your logo, thematic visuals, or animations.
- Graphics and Text: Add dynamic text for your name or channel, using fonts that match your vlog’s style.
Use Video Editing Software
- Select a Tool: Use video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or free alternatives like iMovie or Shotcut.
- Assemble Your Intro: Import your visual and audio elements. Arrange them according to your script.
Animate and Add Effects
- Transitions: Use smooth transitions between elements.
- Animations: Animate text or images to make your intro more dynamic.
Edit and Sync Audio
- Sync Music: Ensure your visuals are in sync with the music beats or rhythm.
- Adjust Volumes: Make sure the music doesn’t overpower your voice or other important audio elements.
Review and Revise
- Watch Your Intro: Look for any areas that need improvement.
- Get Feedback: Show it to friends or fellow creators for their opinions.
Export and Use
- Export the Final Video: Once satisfied, export the video in the desired format.
- Attach to Your Vlogs: Add your new intro to the start of your vlogs.
Tips:
- Keep Consistency: Use the same intro for your vlogs to build brand recognition.
- Stay Updated: Refresh your intro occasionally to keep it current.
- Be Creative: Don’t be afraid to try something unique to stand out.
Remember, your intro is the first impression viewers will have of your vlog, so make it count!

Glad I could help. The only problem with it is, that I want to do MORE of them.
I have never vlogged. I prefer to write. Although I do occasionally include videos in my written posts.
I’ve done the occasional diaper demo vlog, but I’ve been thinking that I need to get back on the ball and do them. It’s been a while. 🙂
Great tips, and your intro is AWESOME! I never did get into vlogging, but with how popular it is–and the fact that it is only getting more popular–I may not have the choice to give in to my introvert nature.
I am slowly getting into it. Right now it is just my voice. One day maybe I will show me 🙂
This is GREAT! I have always wanted to try this. Especially for product reviews. I got to break out of my shell first! 🙂
Looks super easy. Thanks for the info! But how did you make the video to demonstrate using animoto.com and creating the Vlog intro?
Thanks. http://www.NoSkinnies.com
I am not sure what you mean? Did you mean how did I edit the two together? I used Windows Live Movie Maker which is free if you use Windows.
Thanks so much, that was awesome! I’ve just recently started vlogging and have been wanting an intro for my videos.
I wouldn’t call it free, though. If you can’t download it to your computer without paying for one of the plans, then it isn’t really helpful if you want to use it at the beginning of another video. It’s worth the $3 a month for me, but I was disappointed that I couldn’t download the free version 🙁
Thanks again for the great tutorial!
I will have to add a FREE*. You are right it is free but not to download. Worth the money to upgrade to HD and download I think.
Love this! Just what the blog ordered!
WOW, you are awesome. Thank you so very much for this; it always looks so complicated, but your step-by-step breakdown makes me feel as though it’s really not that difficult to make at all!
🙂
Thanks Charlotte. It took me a LONG time trying different methods until Zippy suggested this one.
Very impressive Katrina!! Thanks so much for the easy tutorial…I’m headed to do mine now! 🙂
Michell @Prowess and Pearls
Let me know how it goes. I would love to see what you come up with.
Love this! I can’t wait to build an intro for both of my sites. I just recently decided to add video to my sites and I wanted things to look as professional as possible. This is great! Thanks!
I would love to see when you are done 🙂
I just started back vblogging and this helps alot
Yipee! Look what I made 🙂 thanks so much!!
AWESOME! You’re very welcome!
Thank you!!! That looks so easy and I can’t wait to try it. My only question is – how do I then upload it to my blog site?? I’m assuming it’s different for everyone which is why you didn’t include it? I have WordPress so I’m hoping it’s rather simple but if you have any further tips…
There is an option through Animoto where you can pay a small fee to download ($5 I think). I then upload to my youtube account and it can be easily embedded through there.
Additional option? If you’re okay with the quality, upload the video to youtube, then use a website/application like keepvid or iTube Studio to download that clip to your computer. Voila – a video you can import into your vlogs….
Thanks soooo much for this! I recorded my first video and needed to create an intro so this comes at the perfect time! Thanks again!
Incorporating video into my blog posts has definitely been a great help in terms of spicing up the content. Also, it brings viewers and subscribers to my YouTube channel. Having a professional short intro is great. Personally I use Adobe Premiere Pro for my editing, although it is a pretty expensive program compared to Animoto. Thanks for the suggestion though, I will definitely check out Animoto! 🙂
