A popular way for bloggers to make money blogging is by creating their own products to sell. There are a number of different things that you can create and sell, it all depends on your knowledge, what you have offer to other people. One of the best ways to reuse your content is to turn your blog into a book.

Create an outline.

Create your content based on your outline. The thing about being a blogger is you have content already written. If you have a number posts already written on the topic you have chosen for your eBook you have content for your book.

If you are using content from your blog, make sure to edit it to remove any reference of when you wrote it, for example: remove any “yesterdays”, “the other day”, etc.

Creating Your eBook

There are a number of programs that you can use in creating your eBook. What you go with depends on what you intent to do with it. You can create your book as a PDF. To do this you can use Word, Google Docs, Open Office, or Pages (Mac only) to create it, just save it as a PDF.

Make sure to proof read, or better yet, have someone else proofread. It’s best to use a single, standard font such as Times New Roman, Georgia or Arial, in 10, 11 or 12 point size.

Selling Your ebook

There are a number of different options for selling your eBook, most common are Amazon’s Kindle and iBook.

If you sell your book on your own website, you keep 100% of the profits, minus the transaction fee. You will need a plugin or two to handle the checkout process.

You can also use a service such as E-Junkie.

Depending on the eBook that you have created or are thinking abut creating, you may decide to use it as your email list opt-in. Once someone has confirmed that they have sign up to your newsletter/email they can download a PDF copy of your eBook.
