For example, maybe you saw a video shared on Facebook and watching it intrigued you enough to check out the company behind this video. Rather than this company having to cold-call you to tell you about their new product, they created a video about it and let social media sharing do the work for them. It is 2015 and this is not your grandfather’s door-to-door vacuum sale presentation. That just does not work anymore.
Even the less invasive outbound marketing tactics, like television commercials and magazine ads, are losing their effect. As a small business owner, this is a good thing for you. Maybe you could never afford a television commercial ad or one on the radio to begin with.
The good news is that you can create several forms of inbound marketing advertisements for free. And you can even share them with the world for little to no cost as well.
It does not cost anything to make a video, put it up on Youtube or Facebook and share it on your social media networks. You can always pay to expand your reach, but why not see how far it can go for free?
You can write an ebook, record a podcast or even create a funny meme for no cost. It only takes one popular person sharing your creation to make it go viral.
