As I get older, my memories fade, but there is no doubt that you and I will always remember our first car.
Mine was a Toyota Corolla, I shared it with my brothers. It also ended up being the first car I wrecked. Although the crash wasn’t my fault, I was still devastated when they told me she was irreparable. At 20, the car I got when I was 16 was headed for the junk yard.
You always remember your first Mine was an older model. My dad had her first. But she was good to me and I’ll always remember her. I felt bad when I finally had to let her go but it was for the best. She gave me four good years, countless roadtrips and I even spent the night in her during a camping trip.
I’m not sure what it is, but each time I get a new car, I flash back to the pride of being an owner. Of hitting 16 and being able to be independent. Go where I wanted, when I wanted.
You can read about my first car and those feelings over at Redman Toll Subaru.
What was your first car? Did you pass it on to someone else, or did it head to the junkyard like mine?
