I never fail to be amazed at what I can find online.
Most recently, during an afternoon of “independent study” at school, I started digging through twiends.
It is a platform directory of Twitter and Instagram where I was able to check out updates from all my favourite stars, athletes and even the news.
Not being a big Twitter user, and owning a smart-phone with a dead camera rules Instagram out, I feel like I just advance a decade in the technology calendar.
The site was easy to navigate, even with my HTC smart-phone. It loaded quickly and looked good. Admittedly, I switched to a regular computer shortly afterward for ease of access going back and forth between screens.
While my use of this service is likely limited to reading what joeybats19 (Jose Bautista) et al have to say, I could see my wife using Twiends to help grow the readership of her blogs and and even market our cloth diaper business. It’s very user friendly and an open-ended exchange of ideas information is what they are looking for.
Twiends is open to allow you to promote yourself and your business. All it wants in exchange is non-spammy content, content that adds value to other members and content that is interesting.
I thought I’d spend a couple minutes bouncing around the site. As it turns out, I was online for nearly an hour. I would recommend giving yourself that kind of time on your first visit, because you’re not going to want to get off too quickly.
