One Big Reason that Your Website is Mobile Friendly

Is it important that Your Website is Mobile Friendly?

There are a few obvious reasons:

  • Because in today’s world almost everyone uses their phones to be on social media.
  • 80% of adults now own a smartphone!
  • That’s an incredible amount of people who may look at your blog via a mobile device and not on the computer.
  • Because typical viewers give up if they can’t find what they want.

According to Google’s Think Insights on mobile, if a user lands on your mobile website and is frustrated or they do not see what they are looking for, there’s a 61% chance they will leave immediately and go to another website (most likely a competitor). It’s also said that if they have a positive experience with your mobile website, a user is 67% more likely to buy a product or use a service.   (HubSpot)

  • It helps your SEO.
  • Having a responsive website helps your page load time on devices.
  • As more and more devices are made, your website will be responsive on all of them.

But these are not the ONE BIG REASONS why your website is mobile friendly!

Find out one big reason you want your website to be Mobile friendly!

The big reason is . . .

BECAUSE GOOGLE SAYS SO!

That’s it!

Google is now notifying webmasters of sites that are not mobile-friendly to fix mobile usability issues.

After April 21, Google will include mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor!

Google’s warning to webmasters is that they will penalize because they do not find your website is mobile friendly.

or, basically, your site will not rank high in their search engine.

Here is a quote from Google’s Webmaster Central Blog:

Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.

When you look at this infographic, you can see that it would be foolish to not obey Google:

You may ask why does Google care?

Why would they care if you lose visitors because Google does not find your website is mobile friendly?

Well, Google has always been about the user experience.  They want people to use their search engine to find you– and whatever else they are looking for.

Then they want your site to be FAST!

Because people are impatient today; and if your website is slow, people leave it. And if your site frustrates people, that frustrates Google.

So be warned!

What do you do now?
