Advertising is one of the most asked questions by bloggers and question number 2 is How to customize your ad settings on Google AdSense.
There are many different ways to advertise on your blog. Google AdSense is one of the most popular options.
However, if you are like me, you like control over what is advertised on your blog.
In 3 steps I will show you how to customize the ads that are shown through your AdSense account.
Step 1.
Once you are signed into your AdSense account click on ‘Allow and Block Ads’ on the blue header.
Step 2.
Click on ‘General Categories’.
From here you can see some broad categories.
If you want ads from those categories to show up make sure there is a green ‘allowed’ check mark beside it.
If you do not want that category shown, slide the box next to the green check mark over and voila!
A red ‘blocked’ shows instead.
Step 3.
Step 3 is where all of your hard ad decisions are made.
By clicking on the ‘Sensitive’ categories header you are dealing with the tough stuff: religion, dating, gambling etc.
This is the part where you need to reflect on what you want your blog to be.
There you go!
In just three simple steps you have customized and changed the settings of Google AdSense.
